1 Corinthians 1:24
"but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks,
Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God."
Definition: Wisdom in it simplest form means to understand; to know right from wrong,true or false.
Secular: The art of learning how to succeed in life. (Holman Bible Dictionary).
Existential: A philosophical study of the essence of life. (Holman Bible Dictionary).
Religious: Begins with ones faith in Him as Lord and Savior. (Holman Bible Dictionary).
Hebrew root: transliteration; Chakam - phonetically; kaw-kam, (verb).
a) to be or to become wise; act wisely, to make wise, to teach wisdom, instruct.
Original word: transliteration; Chokemah - phonetically; khok-maw' (noun-feminine).
b) skill in war; wisdom in administration; shrewdness; prudence; wisdom in religious
affairs; ethical and religious wisdom.

Application: Jesus Christ is the wisdom and love of God incarnated; God provided Adam and Eve a covering for their sin after their fall in the garden."The lord made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them." Genesis3:21. Today God provides a covering for you and I for our sins by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and His shed blood on the cross; a better covenant. Hebrews7:22.
